First GameCube Mod-Chip

The GameCube has finally truely been hacked. There have been previous soft-mods for the GameCube by exploiting PSO and streaming game image files. Now over a year after the first hack, the first GameCube mod chip is released, the Viper GC.

After soldering four wires to the mod-chip and GameCube, you can easily play back-up copies of your GameCube games, however some types and brands of DVD-R's won't be recognized by the mod chip.

The mod-chip can be found on many popular online mod-chip retailers sites for under $70, less than the price of two GameCube games.
